SOARCE WEBINAR
Would you like tools to help interpret complex, global-scale data and issues like ocean acidification in engaging and empowering ways? This webinar reviews such tools, developed by the Visualizing Change project – a partnership of six informal science education institutions with social scientists and data scientists supported by a grant from NOAA. The project recently released a new, free, set of tools at www.vischange.org. The tools are designed based on social and cognitive research, with the objective to help the public to understand causes, consequences, and appropriate responses to global scale issues such as climate change and ocean acidification. During this webinar, we will review the toolkit, focusing primarily on ocean acidification, and why and how it was developed.
